What is the Restorer tool?

The Restorer is a handheld drum sander with over 20 different interchangeable heads for applications ranging from grinding to polishing and everywhere in between aka multi surface corded restoration tool.

What can the Restorer tool accessories do?

Preparing the surface of old wood just got a lot easier with the Restorer. Boasting many of the benefits of both a belt sander and an angle grinder this unique tool takes removing material from the surface of wood, metal, concrete and more to a new level. The flat roller of the Restorer yields a smoother finish on wood as the abrasive can be aligned with the grain of the sanding surface. The tool is well-balanced, with a pistol grip for one-handed use, and a front palm grip for working vertically or overhead. During use, the work surface stays cool, and debris is pushed away from the surface toward the dust port, which can be hooked to most shop vacs or dust extractors. Changing the sanding sleeve is simple and tool-free. This will be your first tool pick for your next project, whether you are tackling a rough pallet or a slab. Additional accessory sanding sleeves and wheel attachments are sold separately.

How do you use the Restorer tool accessories?

The Restorer has a spinning drum that ranges in rpm from 1,000-3,200 and is always moving forward.  To effectively use the Restorer, you will need to allow it to float forward on the surface and then apply some pressure to the front and rear handles and pull back towards you.  This allows the Restorer to easily remove paint or stain from the surface or allows you to add that texture to new wood surfaces.

How do you change the Restorer tool accessories?

To change the sanding sleeve: Unlatch the two hooks from the side of the roller cover and slide off the drum with sleeve attached. Squeeze slightly and slide sleeve off the roller drum. To replace, squeeze the roller drum slightly, and slide the new sleeve onto it. The roller drum is imprinted with “this side up” to ensure it is installed with the correct orientation. Replace the cover and latch again.
If you’re using one of the optional accessory wheels (sold separately), remove the drum roll and load the accessory wheel so “this side up” is visible. Then close and latch again.
